Carsome Group Inc, Southeast Asia’s largest integrated car e-commerce platform, marked its 10th anniversary with the launch of Pakej Rakyat, a program that offers high-quality refurbished cars from MYR 199 ($47) per month under Carsome Value Plus, together with a free one-year warranty and service packages, supported by its in-house financing through Carsome Capital.

Carsome said in a statement on Wednesday that the initiative reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to support national priorities around mobility access and financial inclusion, empowering Malaysians with affordable and trusted car ownership solutions.

“Reaching our 10th year is a proud moment for Carsome, and we are dedicated to giving back to the rakyat who have supported us throughout this journey,

“With Pakej Rakyat, we are celebrating a decade of innovation by making car ownership genuinely accessible and affordable for all Malaysians, unlocking opportunities for work, family, and progress,” Carsome Group Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Eric Cheng said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Transport of Malaysia, Anthony Loke Siew Fook said companies like Carsome play an important role in advancing the nation’s transport agenda via tech and innovation, making car ownership accessible, safer, and more transparent.

“We look forward to seeing more private-sector initiatives that work hand-in-hand with the government to improve mobility for all Malaysians,” he added.

Minister of Digital of Malaysia, Gobind Singh Deo added that the goal in driving Malaysia’s digital economy is to ensure technology delivers meaningful impact to people’s lives.

“Carsome is an example of how Malaysian companies can scale and succeed both locally and on the regional stage, while building from Malaysia with Malaysians,” he added.

Over the past decade, Carsome has grown from a Malaysian-born brand into a regional leader with operations in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

The company operates Southeast Asia’s largest car refurbishment facility in Malaysia, producing quality vehicles under the Carsome Certified banner.

Its end-to-end ecosystem spans car inspections, refurbishment, retail, financing, and ancillary offerings such as insurance and warranties through Carsome Capital, education via Carsome Academy, and aftersales services.

Carsome Group engages more than 15 million users every month across its ecosystem, supported by its media and content platforms such as iCar Asia, WapCar, and Carlist, connecting customers to trusted automotive insights and solutions.
