Curlec by Razorpay appoints payments leader Kevin Lee as Malaysia Country Head

Curlec by Razorpay, Malaysia’s payment firm, has on Monday announced the appointment of Kevin Lee as its Country Head.

The firm said in a statement that Lee will lead Curlec’s vision and efforts to enhance digital payment solutions for businesses of all sizes in Malaysia.

He will play a key role in further enhancing the Curlec Payment platform’s capabilities and delivering secure, seamless payment experiences for over 5,000 businesses in Malaysia, while fostering financial inclusion in the region.

With the capacity to process up to 1,000 transactions per second, Curlec remains focused on innovation, security, and customer-centric growth in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic digital economies.

As part of its growth strategy, Curlec by Razorpay focuses on expanding its merchant network, enhancing payment security, and introducing new features to improve customer experience.

With over 18 years of proven leadership in the payments and fintech space, Lee brings deep industry expertise and a sharp strategic vision that will be instrumental in steering Curlec’s next phase of growth, innovation, and regional expansion.

A veteran in the fintech space, Lee has been a driving force in the evolution of digital payments across emerging markets.

Since joining GHL Systems Berhad (now NTT Data Payment Services) in 2009, he has held several leadership roles.

He began his tenure as International Sales Manager, spearheading expansion efforts in the Middle East and African markets, he ascended to the role of Chief Executive Officer of GHL Malaysia in 2019, leading the company through significant growth and scalable digital innovation.

Over the past decade, Lee has led the implementation of large-scale e-payment infrastructures across ASEAN, the Middle East, and Africa, strengthening his reputation as a strategic innovator in the payments ecosystem.

His leadership spans across international business development, product strategy, sales and marketing, and building strategic alliances with global payment networks, fintech firms, and leading merchants.

A graduate of Coventry University, United Kingdom, with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Software and Computer Engineering, Lee combines deep technical expertise with business acumen, making him well-positioned to steer Curlec towards new milestones in Malaysia’s evolving fintech landscape.
