Krenovator Technology Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysia-based artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tech talent platform, announced Monday that it has secured seed funding from Ignite Asia, a venture capital and private equity principals firm in Singapore and Malaysia.

The amount of the funding remains undisclosed, and the round was officially closed in early 2025, Krenovator said in a statement.

The newly secured capital will be strategically deployed to expand Krenovator’s team and bolster its marketing and sales efforts.

“This seed funding from Ignite Asia is a powerful validation of Krenovator’s unique approach to solving issues of tech talent crunch. Our AI-powered tech talent platform gives us an unparalleled advantage in sourcing top-tier tech talent in Southeast Asia,

“This, combined with our deep understanding of enterprise IT needs, allows us to deliver exceptional value to our clients. This investment will fuel our platform’s growth, expand our team, and market footprints,” said Mahadhir Yunus, Chief Executive Officer of Krenovator.

“Looking ahead, we have ambitious goals for the next 12-18 months, aiming to triple our revenue and double our clientele,

“We also plan to introduce new service offerings, including enhanced IT services and potentially Software Tester as a Service, all leveraging our core strength in tech talent sourcing to cater to enterprise digital transformation needs,” he added.

Founded in 2019 and based in Kuala Lumpur, Krenovator is an AI-powered tech talent platform that focused on sourcing and cultivating talent for enterprises.

The firm’s unique strength lies in its sophisticated tech talent sourcing strategy. Through its proprietary AI-powered platform, the company boasts access to nearly 30,000 skilled tech professionals, including software developers and testers, business analysts, and data scientists, primarily in Malaysia and Indonesia.

This extensive talent pool enables the firm to efficiently identify and present top candidates for its clients’ critical projects. This distinct sourcing capability has become a key differentiator, attracting enterprises seeking premier tech talent.

With the unique sourcing strategy, the firm connects enterprises with top talent for their critical projects across industries such as oil and gas, logistics, manufacturing, finance and banking, and telecommunications.

The company currently has clients in Malaysia, the Middle East, and Europe.

It is noted that Krenovator’s AI-powered tech talent platform continues to grow and serve as a vibrant ecosystem for tech professionals.

The platform offers tools for career skill enhancement, facilitates connections among talent, and fosters a strong community.

“We are impressed by Krenovator’s innovative approach to the tech talent landscape. Their AI-powered platform and strategic focus on sourcing top talent to support enterprise information technology (IT) needs create a compelling value proposition,

“We believe Krenovator is well-positioned for significant growth in the region, and we are excited to be a part of their journey,” said Jake Thui, vice president of investments at Ignite Asia.

Krenovator’s core activities involve strategically sourcing and cultivating the top five percent of tech talent in Southeast Asia to support enterprise IT initiatives.

Over the past two years, the firm has significantly grown its talent pool in Malaysia and Indonesia to nearly 30,000 professionals, achieved a 98 percent client satisfaction rate, and doubled its clientele from public-listed and Fortune 500 companies.

The recent acquisition of major international clients underscores the importance of this seed funding in supporting Krenovator’s continued growth and service delivery.
