Malaysia’s Managed Industrial Park (MIP) NCT Group of Companies, has partnered with OM Charge Sdn. Bhd to create a more sustainable transportation ecosystem at NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP).

NCT Group said in a statement on Thursday that the firm through its subsidiary NCT Smart Management Sdn. Bhd., has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with OM Charge to install electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure within the park.

The collaboration will see OM Charge delivering innovative EV charging solutions tailored to the unique operational and environmental needs of NSIP.

The plan includes deploying a comprehensive network of EV chargers, which will provide seamless charging access for tenants, workers and visitors.

By building inclusive EV charging stations, NCT Group aims to improve the park’s accessibility while supporting the global shift toward electric mobility and greener energy solutions.

In addition to EV charging solutions, the collaboration encompasses expertise-sharing and strategic planning to ensure the seamless integration of these solutions into NSIP’s smart systems.

These efforts align with NSIP’s overarching objective of creating a sustainable, innovative and future-ready industrial ecosystem that supports economic growth while contributing to minimizing environmental impact.

“Our collaboration with OM Charge marks an important step in advancing our vision of NSIP as a beacon of sustainable industrial innovation,

“By integrating an advance EV infrastructure, we are creating an ecosystem where technology, efficiency, and sustainability converge,” said Yap Ngan Choy, Founder and Group Managing Director of NCT Group.

“NSIP not only meets the infrastructure demands of businesses, but also sets the standard as the country’s first tech-centric park with zero emissions by 2050,

“This partnership reaffirms our commitment to delivering impactful solutions that align with both national and global sustainability goals,” he added.

Moses Ong Leng Keong, Chief Executive Officer of OM Charge, said OM Charge aims to accelerate the transition toward clean energy by delivering innovative EV solutions.

“Partnering with NCT Group on NSIP presents us with an opportunity to redefine sustainability and green technology adoption in industrial parks,

“Together, we are laying the foundation for an industrial ecosystem that not only meets the demands of today but is also prepared for the challenges of tomorrow, creating lasting value for businesses and communities,” he added.

Situated within the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS), NSIP is an industrial hub in Malaysia.

The park focuses on smart technologies and green solutions for the region’s evolving industrial landscape.

NCT Group began in 1985, with the founding of NCT Tiling Sdn. Bhd. and its subsequent venture into the tiling sector, offering tiling products.

In 1998, the company ventured into construction, real estate and building materials trading upon realizing the immense prospects the sectors have to offer.

A decade later, NCT Group transformed into a full-fledged property developer.

In 2022, the company marked its presence in industrial development with the establishment of NCT Smart Industrial Park, marking it as the first certified Managed Industrial Park (MIP) of its kind.

Following this, NCT Group announced its second industrial park project at the Delapan Special Border Economic Zone in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah.
